Individual Support

from $50.00

Bring your whole self. Rage, doubt, wonder, joy — it all belongs.

Whether you’ve had complicated experiences with tradition or are just trying to figure out what you still believe in, this is a place to breathe, reflect, and begin again. Some people come with grief. Others with questions. Many just need space to hear themselves think — and to reconnect with something larger than themselves.

These conversations are not therapy. I’m a rabbi, not a therapist, and my role is to hold space with care and curiosity — to help you feel seen, not instructed. I’m not here to dispense rulings or steer you to one “right” path. I’m here to meet you as you are — with respect, honesty, and presence. We’ll draw on Jewish wisdom when it helps, but this isn’t about answers.

I offer grounded, nonjudgmental support shaped by decades of spiritual leadership, deep listening, and a fierce commitment to truth — your truth. Sessions are spacious and flexible, grounded in Jewish wisdom but open to wherever you are.

Available as one-time sessions or ongoing support.
Sliding scale available upon request.
All identities, family structures, and interfaith backgrounds welcome.
Appointments available in person (Buffalo, NY) or via Zoom.
If you’re unsure where to begin, feel free to reach out—I’ll meet you where you are.

What people say about Rabbi Jonathan Freirich’s Support during tough times.

Rabbi Jonathan built a reputation for being exceptionally honest, ethical, tactful and compassionate. He is very “approachable” and can always be counted upon to offer wise advice. Several of my friends have sought out his counsel for helping to solve serious problems. In every instance, they told me he either made the situation better or successfully solved the problem. Personally speaking, I sought out Rabbi Jonathan 2 years ago after I was diagnosed with ALS—Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He not only made me feel better about my fatal diagnosis, but he also gave me several suggestions which helped me face my disease bravely and profoundly enhanced my quality of life. I shall always be grateful to Rabbi Jonathan for his friendship and wisdom. No letter of praise such as this one would be complete without mentioning Rabbi Jonathan’s wonderful sense of humor and his engaging personality. He has been an absolute delight to know.
